Neckties have been with us for at least as far back as the Quinn Dynasty, some 2000 years ago. 

For a today’s man, a tie when paired with a well-fitting suit and dress shirt provides a way to display his individuality and good taste.

BUT how to account for the continued popularity of the Fat Tie amongst the preschool/elementary crowd? As long as world and business leaders continue to wear neckties, the young, hipster geniuses will follow suit and neckties will remain a key to the boardroom, or eh hem, the playground. On the other hand, there does seem to be some aesthetic value in wearing a fresh and funky Fat Tie. 

It seems that the first question fashion writers always ask is, “Will men’s neckties be wider or narrower this year?”  Nooooooo, they will always be FAT.
